A rich history
On September 3, 1783, the preparation
of the Treaty of Paris, proclaiming
the independence of the Federal Republic
of the United States, took place within
the walls of this handsome dwelling
which was, at the time, the English Embassy.

On December 20, 1921, room 14 is occupied
by an illustrious guest, Ernest Hemingway.
This was the first of many stays for this American
lover of Paris.
While the décor may have changed,
something thought-provoking still remains
that never fails to inspire
our guests.
