The festive atmosphere of Paris in summer

Event

Paris is ready for the holidays as soon as the fine weather arrives. There’s plenty of opportunity for the whole family to enjoy blissful moments of relaxation and wonderful experiences in the heart of the capital. Here are the favourite attractions of the team at the Hotel d'Angleterre...

Fairground rides and beach resort fun

Across the Seine, just a few minutes from the Hotel d'Angleterre, you can follow the beautiful gravel paths of the Jardins des Tuileries to discover the magical atmosphere of a traditional fairground. Carrousel, Ferris wheel, candy floss, hook a duck, dodgems and all the other great funfair attractions are here for you and your family to enjoy. Then, to relax after all the fun, head for the banks of the Seine, where you can put on your swimsuit and snooze in a deckchair courtesy of Paris Plages, the city’s annual celebration of beach resort culture. Choose from the Right Bank, Left Bank or the Bassin de la Villette, where you’ll find swimming and nautical activities.

The magic of open-air cinema

Sharing beautiful moments of conviviality while waiting for the sun to go down and the night to embrace you, savouring the sweetness of the summer evening air and then watching a movie under the stars. There are many opportunities – free of charge – to enjoy such an experience in Paris during the summer. They begin July 6th to 8th in the beautiful setting of the Château de Vincennes with the Toile sous les Étoiles festival and continue from July 12th to August 20th in the Parc de la Villette. For original short films and a programme of screenings chosen this year by the French actor Boris Terral, go to the 11th arrondissement for Chaise et l’Écran 2017.

Paris is brimming with events large or intimate for an original summer of relaxation and enjoyment!
